Integrity first.

The first Air Force core value is integrity.

Doing good deeds, behaving like a good natured citizen, and doing things that benefit others without a second thought is integrity.

If you want to be virtuous, then doing the right thing and knowing it's the right thing would definitely help you.

Last week I got my rope and ribbons. I am proud of my accomplishments

Friendships

My friends keep my happiness level at it's highest.
Of course, I am content with who I am and I can have fun by myself but I think that the power of friendship beats all.

Friends, (if you're lucky) have this strong vibe about them that makes you wanna hold onto your friendship. They're there when you need advice and a little light in your journeys.

You can think of them as the silver lining in your clouds.

Holidays

I love the happy cheery feeling from the holiday season.

It radiates from the Christmas lights from your tree all the way to the other side of the world. The holiday spirit is probably my most favorite part of the season.

Not only that, but I adore the winter clothing and seasonal foods that are usually served during cold weather like :
Hot coco, clam chowder, eggnog, and hot soups.

The air also brings the feeling of giving to others who need help. You should always reach out and give to those in need, but it's exceptionally beautiful during the holiday season.

You can never forget eating pie during       the holiday season.

Discovering Spirituality

All my life I've been deeply connected to spirits and animals. I love being able to feel and understand emotions of everything around me.

Believe it or not, there are spirits in everything. My favorite example would be a book. Any ordinary book would have the same special qualities.
Books contain knowledge, my dad always called them "teachers" because they give us knowledge.

They also have spirits (like, really old ancient spirits) that inhabit within the book.

Spirits are all around us. They sit on our heads and show us the right path. People may use their gut-feeling, or intuition to guide them as well.

"Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel, you can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place."

-Uncle Iroh (TV Series: Avatar the Last Airbender)

One of my favorite shows is Avatar the Last Airbender from Nickelodeon. Although it is a children's show I'm very fond of it for not only the amazing graphics and bending, but for the life quotes it provides.

Uncle Iroh is a brother to fire lord Ozai (There are 4 nations, each containing their own form of government. The 4 nations represent each element :fire, water, earth and air.) And unlike his tyrannic brother, he prefers peace, tea, and enlightened conversations.

He is one of my role models, demonstrating discipline, compassion and understanding for your surroundings. He is open minded, creating space for those who are troubled and weak.

The sequel to Avatar the Last Airbender is the Legend of Korra.
Korra, our new avatar (the bridge between spirits and humans, creating peace in the world) and her mission is the same as every avatar's: to balance the world and its people. This is my second favorite show.

Co-creator Bryan Konietzko is a wonderful and inspirational person. One of my favorite doodles is of Commander Bumi and this bunny spirit, Boomju.

Don't let people get to you.
This was something I had learned ages ago.

Over the weekend I'd went to Boston for National Portfolio Day with my studio portfolio class.

It's a place where a bunch of art colleges and aspiring artists go and have their portfolio reviewed. Most people are pretty good while others need a bit more to work on.
This was a painting I worked on for a project. Inspired from baroque artists.

I went over to a bunch of different colleges and they all told me the same thing: "you should change your major to photography."

Obviously I wasn't going to change what made me happy, but I did take their advice. My photographs portrayed a documentary-type style. It had powerful images as well as emotion.

Upset, I walked out of the Hynes center into the mall with a group of friends and I drew Alyssa while we were in the Microsoft store

I felt content with everything and treated myself to a double cheeseburger.

Confessions of a mall employee.

People say to love what you do, and do what you love. For me, I enjoy making people's lives easier and brightening up their day.

Usually I work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for the most part of each day. And I have to say, it does get tiring when people scream at you for trying to help them. The worst part is when they blame you for everything.

But even with all these negative thoughts, you still have to put on a smile for the whole day. It's kind of brainwashing, servicing people, giving them your full attention, and always putting a smile on your face even when they insult you.

Don't get me wrong I love my job, my coworkers, and the store. Sometimes I just wish some people left the bad attitude at home.  There are times, I admit, where I would go to the back of the store and start tearing up, but then again you need thick skin to deal with ALLL sorts of people. My own skin had definately gotten stronger as time passes while working. Things are getting better.
Here's one photo from the summer where I remember having a really bad day at work because this whole family comes in with a million screaming kids.

You have more than one soulmate.

There's the romantic soulmate, and there are people that are your karmic soulmate.

These little rays of sunflower sunshine teach you life lessons in order to prepare you for your soulmate. They can range anywhere from your neighbor to your ex-lover.

You learn how to handle things like depression, agony, lust, happiness, jealousy, loyalty, etc, all from these people.

Over the weekend my lovely boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet.
--- he had picked flowers from around his house and drove over to see me and present them to me.

Whether or not he is or isn't my soulmate, it doesn't matter. He's definately a keeper.

Eno.

I just recently turned 18,

The first thing I did was get my 2nd hole pierced at my workplace, Claire's. After looking at the selection of a thousand earrings, one stood out the most to me.

Make a Wish foundation is a charity run to donate money to kids living with life threatening diseases, and it grants their last wish before they move on. Luckily for me, Claire's does offer the Make a Wish earrings, which I chose to buy.

Honestly in my opinion I feel like there's nothing better than that feeling of giving. Knowing that you've done a good deed to help others makes your feel good inside.-- You know, that warm tingly feeling when you've accomplished something. I feel like its better than eating icecream on pizza.

Lovingly yours,
