This quote has made me think about predetermined fate and whether or not humans are able to change their own fate. We all have power of becoming who ever we want to become, whether it may be good or bad.

Of course, I believe that everyone is born with a good heart, it just depends on the way a person was raised that changes their personality in the long run. Each individual has the potential to reach their greatest level of achievement, and possibly more. "What is necessary is not unwise."
A lot of people tend to do things that make them seem cooler, better, or appear more closed minded because they want people to look at them as a "normal" person. However many people don't realize that probably doing the things that are out of the comfort zone and what others don't do is what's important.

This relates to a philosophical idea by Kierkegaard who believes with taking a leap of faith brings him a new sensitivity to the world around him.

Also relating to taking a leap of faith, this quote refers to using your gut feeling to choose what you think is right for you.
